In 2012, our company developed a product for Huawei: wrench castings (tool door and window hardware). As shown in the figure, the material is A3 steel. In the production process, we found the following problems: because the castings are easy to deform, the subsequent shaping is difficult, and the surface needs to be plated with copper and then chrome after polishing. At the same time, electroplating will amplify the surface defects, sand holes are prone to rework or even scrap after final polishing, so we suggest casting only the head of the product, and the back plane part is processed with steel plates and then butted together, which will not affect the service performance of the product, but also overcome the above defects and reduce the cost by about 50%.
